Toyota Previa in Bahrain near the raw material

"Out for a cruise today. Not a petrol/gas station in sight but plenty raw material below.
"

Are there any Previa in Bahrain?

Gregory Eatman says that there are quite a few Toyota Previas around and the scrapyards have plenty of spares. Toyota parts support also still strong.

Replacing Oil and Oil filter in the Previa, video of it..

Date:

[2017-07-26 Oljebyte, 5W-40 olja W5 Lidl olja bra specifikation
Bosch oljefilter med backventil / spärrventil (anti drain valve)]

The Previa has 97980 km on the meter when this is done..

Found this cheap good specification on Lidl. I've written a post about it earlier, you can read it here. Some say it is similar to the Pennasol Super Pace oil.

W5 5w-40 Supertech Engine Oil. 5 liter container.
Good specification, will sure be good in the Previa. According to manual it should be 10w-30 but I think this will be even better. I've put similar oil in my other car, Toyota Starlet and no problems.

They sell the Pennasol Super Pace which according to rumours should
be similar to the W5 5W-40. It's about the same price.
I decided to use this Bosch oil filter that is suppose to have a anti-drain valve. Made in South Africa. 0986 452 044. P 2044.

I've made a video of the process here when changing oil on the Toyota Previa.

What kind of oil for your Previa?

"As for the oil.. yes, although it recommends 10W30, it also recommends API type SF or something ridiculously outdated like that... as the engine wear, oil consumption increases, so it maybe necessary to use thicker oil... I now use 0W40 to keep wear and oil consumption under control.... if you prefer to stick to 30 weight, then I recommend 0W30 or 5W30 instead to reduce cold start wear... no, it's not going to cause any problems" - TheMAN

"Lidl har ibland på vårkanten 5W-40 olja i sitt sortiment under sitt varumärke W5 någonnting för 40:-/litern, passa på att hamstra och köp hem ett eller par flak att ha i garaget.
Lär vara samma som, motorgold supertec 5W-40 samt pennasol superpace 5W-40
en ganska tjock olja med en kinematisk viscositet på 14,5 vid 100C+" http://www.mestmotor.se/bilsnack/forum/showthread.php?392481-Optimalaste-motoroljan/page2

Is this Pennasol the similar as Lidl oil? Perhaps.

What kind of car do I put use of the Lidl oil?

This one, a Toyota Previa. In this video I show how I replace the oil and oil filter.
