Parking brake out of function at yearly inspection, here show how to replace the wire

The car didnt pass the Yearly Car Inspection... No parking brake on the right side..


Turned out the Cable / wire was broken. Had to order a new. This is what I ordered:

Bought it from skruvat.se who has had good stuff earlier. Price 295 + 29 (cargo) = 324 SEK.

This is the bag the wire came in. Seems to be okay quality. We will se if it last.

New parking brake wire installed..

Here's some pictures I took during the disassebly. First removed the wheel and then the brakepads, and then the disc and so on..

You need to remove the disc to access the parking cable

That means removing the brake pads.

This is where the parking brake wire enters the drum

Have removed the disc.

Adjuster..

Taking lots of pictures in case I dont remember how it were when time for reassembling.

Here the wire is attached to the drum shoes..

Installing new wire..

This is where the wire goes, inside this rubber. I greased it before mounting it.

Anti seize is also applied.
